Dion as the next Prime Minister of Canada?

Well, I guess that's what I'm hoping for... given the alternatives. It is reassuring that Dion is a big proponent of sustainable development and has a strong environmental policy. I think he'll just need some PR coaching to make his words/presence more inspiring. Take what you can get.

Dion was minister of intergovernmental affairs before he was minister of the environment and all his training in sociology and political science. He strikes me as a political hack who has latched on to the environment because he knows it is a wedge issue with the Alberta dominated Tories. The liberals had 13 years to do something about the government and all the did is what they always do: sit on power and take as much from the public coffers as they think they can get away with. We need to get away from big party mentality lest we fall into the American trap of always being forced to vote for the candidate of lesser evil. "Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos!" - Homer. If you are looking for sustainable development, liberal social perspective and fiscal conservatism, vote Green.

w00t! I voted Green!... But the results suggested that not many others did.

It's true there hasn't much progress on the environment issue. But there's always room for hope, right?
